Do not test your luck

by on Mar.16, 2012, under Uncategorized

I recently got into trouble because I thought I would not get into trouble during my best month in my best year. I thought bad things would not happen to me during that time. So I took a risk and got into troubles as a result. No matter how much more lucky you can be, if you test your luck, you may still be unlucky.

Best Month in a Worst Year and Worst Month in a Best Year

by on Dec.07, 2011, under Horoscope

You are more likely to have bad luck in your best month of your worst year, and good luck in your worst month of your best year. For example, Alec Baldwin (born April 3rd, 1958) has got into trouble now that he is in his best month (roughly from two weeks before December 3rd to two weeks after) of his worst year (roughly from six months before April 3rd, 2012 to six months after). Troy Davis was executed for insisting on telling the truth

by on Sep.26, 2011, under People>People in Real Life

It is typical of an air sign like Troy Davis to insist on telling the truth and to care more about principles than self-interests. People in power often belong to water signs and fire signs, who are afraid of having to admit to having made mistakes and do not like to be challenged. When someone tells them that they were wrong as Troy Davis did, they want him/her to show his/her submissiveness, to stop telling them that they were wrong, to assume all the responsibilities and not to have them take any responsibilities.

What do Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have in common?

by on Apr.02, 2011, under Horoscope>Chinese>Horoscope>Horoscope>Western

They have both built their businesses into empires. They are good at empire building. From horoscope perspective, they both belong to a water sign and were both born in the year of the Goat, a Chinese Zodiac sign that belongs to the fourth trine. If all other factors are not taken into consideration, people who belong to the four trine in Chinese Zodiac, especially people born in the year of the Goat, are most kind to others, most accommodating, and so can put up with the most, take up the most challenges, and carry out the longest fights. Belonging to a water sign helps business in ways that I have mentioned in other posts: avoiding confrontation, speedy execuation, etc. But why not a fire sign? Although people of both water signs and fire signs are passionate about their pursues, so much so that they would do anything to achieve their goals, people of fire signs are too much into self protection to have good business and work relationships with their business partners and workers. And building the right relationships with business partners and workers are critically important to business empire building.

I think building a business empire is different from fighting a battle or running a political campaign. Fighting battles or running political campaigns requires short term but fierce fights. And that is what people of second trine are better at. By the way, Martha Stewart may be as famous as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, her business empire is nowhere near those of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

Personality and maturity and faith

by on Mar.27, 2011, under Horoscope

A lot of time I can guess the sun sign of a person by observing his or her behaviors. But I have met some people who are so different from many other people of their signs that my guess turns out to be wrong. I have also met some people who show so little typical personality traits of any sign that I am not able to make a guess at all. They often time are people with faith who have become very mature through their faith. I think when people are mature enough, especially through their faith, they do not show typical personality traits of their signs. I guess it is because they do not act according to what they feel like but according to what they believe as the right thing to do.

Not everyone who claims to have a faith or wants to have a faith can really mature through a faith though. That is why there are scandals and crimes among religious people as well. It is not an easy thing to accomplish to mature through a faith.

What does being “drawn to” or “attracted to” mean in this blog?

by on Mar.27, 2011, under Horoscope

In this blog, when I say someone is “drawn to” or “attracted to” another person, I meant to say that he or she can more easily be led or manipulated by the person he or she is drawn to or attracted to. It is not out of admiration but out of an inability to be in control in the relationship. Also, people are often disrespected or even abused by those who they are “drawn to” or “attracted to”.

Where does “luck” come from?

by on Mar.24, 2011, under Horoscope

I have mentioned “luck” many times in this blog. It seems that the concept of “luck” is against science. In science, everything happens for a reason. In fact, I don’t think “luck” comes from no where. I think good luck results from good judgement and good temperament. With good judgment and good temperament, you can make better decisions and handle relationships better. And making good decisions and handling relationships well will make things happen in your favor. When you are in your better years and better months as I have mentioned in some other posts in this blog, you tend to have better judgement and better temperament. That is the real reason why you tend to have better luck in your better time.

Natalie Portman Beat the Odds

by on Mar.06, 2011, under Horoscope>Chinese>People>People in Real Life>Horoscope>Yearly

The odds of Natalie Portman winning the Oscar this year is the lowest if we go by horoscope because people who belong to the second trine in Chinese Zodiac have the least of luck this year. But she beat the odds and won the Oscar. This is proof that she was a very strong candidate and that she deserved the award the most.

Bradley Manning is not to be hated for being a Sagittarius

by on Mar.02, 2011, under Horoscope>Chinese>People>People in History>People>People in Real Life>Hot Topics>Politics>Horoscope>Western

I have found many people of fire signs, especially Sagittarius, who I do not like. But Bradley Manning is a Sagittarius who I do not have any negative feeling toward. After I read about him on Wikipedia, I do not find anything I do not like about him. I think he is just a person with some believe and acted according to what he believed in (which is “without information, you cannot make informed decisions as a public”). He might have made mistakes in things that he has done. But it was not because he is a Sagittarius. Rather it was because of what he believed in. If you hate him, it is because you do not share his believe, not because he is a Sagittarius.

Whenever we dislike someone, it is most likely because we do not like what he/she is pursuing. People of fire signs are dedicated to achieving their goals and would try to achieve their goals by all means with less regard to code of conduct. That is why we do not like them when we do not like what they are pursuing. This may be the real reason why I do not like many people of fire signs.

By the way, Daniel Ellsberg (Goat, Aries), the most famous whistle-blower in American history whose leaking of “The Pentagon Papers” brought the Vietnam War to an end, is also a fire sign with a Chinese Zodiac sign that belongs to the fourth trine, just like Bradley Manning (Rabbit, Sagittarius).

Other people in history and celebrities who also belong to a fire sign and the fourth trine include Hugh Thompson (Goat, Aries) and Robert De Niro (Goat, Leo). They are different from people of fire signs who belong to the first trine (and perhaps second trine as well) in Chinese Zodiac, such as Don Imus (Dragon, Leo), John Galliano (Rat, Sagittarius), and Peter King (Monkey, Aries), who are prejudiced against certain people (even though they do not want to admit it). I think this is because people of fourth trine (and perhaps those of third trine as well) have more feelings for others (just as they have more feelings for themselves as well), which makes them more kind and liberal, while people of first trine and second trine are more harsh, demanding, vain, conservative, and prejudiced.

Best and worst horoscope compatibilities between men and women

by on Jan.03, 2010, under Horoscope Compatibility

The following relationships are more likely to work, even if they are rocky. [To find out if a couple are compatible, check out Interpreting the Charts. To find out who is attracted to who, check out Western astrological signs’ appeal to each other and Chinese astrological signs’ appeal to each other.]

  • A relationship in which the man is more desirable, and
    • The couple are compatible from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. For example, Keith Urban (October 26, 1967) and Nicole Kidman (June 20, 1967), George Walker Bush (July 6, 1946) and Laura Bush (November 4, 1946), John Lennon (October 9, 1940) and Yoko Ono (February 18, 1933), Ben Affleck (August 15, 1972) and Jennifer Garner (April 17, 1972), Tiger Woods (December 30, 1975) and Elin Nordegren (January 1, 1980).
    • The couple are compatible from Chinese horoscope perspective, and the man is attracted to the woman from Western horoscope perspective. For example, John Edwards (June 10, 1953) and Elizabeth Edwards (July 3, 1949), Al Gore (March 31, 1948) and Tipper Gore (August 19, 1948).
    • The couple are compatible from Western horoscope perspective, and the man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, Prince Charles (November 14, 1948) and Camila (July 17, 1947). The relationship between Nick Lachey (November 9, 1973) and Jessica Simpson (July 10, 1980) would have lasted if Jessica Simpson did not become more desirable than Nick Lachey. Same thing happened to the relationship between Bruce Willis (March 19, 1955) and Demi Moore (November 11, 1962).

The following relationships are likely to work to some degree.

  • A relationship in which the man is more desirable, and the couple are compatible from Chinese horoscope perspective, and
    • The woman is attracted to the man from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958) and Debbie Rowe (December 6, 1958), Prince William (June 21, 1982) and Kate Middleton (January 9, 1982). The relationship between Justin Timberlake (January 31, 1981) and Cameron Diaz (August 30, 1972) could have fallen into this category if Justin Timberlake was a lot more desirable than Cameron Diaz. That relationship did not work out.
    • The couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Tom Cruise (July 3, 1962) and Katie Holmes (December 18, 1978), John F. Kennedy (May 29, 1917) and Jacqueline Kennedy (July 28, 1929). The relationship between Tom Cruise and Penélope Cruz (April 28, 1974) also belongs to this category but did not work out because their compatibility in Chinese horoscope is the weakest while their incompatibility in Western horoscope is the strongest, and Penélope Cruz became more desirable later on.
  • A relationship in which the man is more desirable, and the woman is attracted to the man from Chinese horoscope perspective, and
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Huge Grant (September 9, 1960) and Elizabeth Hurley (June 10, 1965), Brad Pitt (December 18, 1963) and Gwyneth Paltrow (September 27, 1972). The relationship between Matt Damon (October 8, 1970) and Winona Ryder (October 29, 1971) could have worked out if Winona Ryder was a lot less desirable than Matt Damon at the time they were dating. The relationship between Huge Grant and Elizabeth Hurley ended because Elizabeth Hurley became about as desirable as Huge Grant later on. The relationship between Ashton Kutcher (February 7, 1978) and Demi Moore (November 11, 1962) may also be placed in this category because Ashton Kutcher has become more desirable later on.
    • The couple are compatible from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Prince Charles (November 14, 1948) and Princess Diana (July 1, 1961), Jude Law (December 29, 1972) and Sienna Miller (December 28, 1981), Jerry Seinfeld (April 29, 1954) and Jessica Seinfeld (September 12, 1971).
    • The couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Bill Clinton (August 19, 1946) and Hillary Clinton (October 26, 1947), Jude Law (December 29, 1972) and Sadie Frost (June 19, 1965), Brad Pitt (December 18, 1963) and Jennifer Aniston (February 11, 1969). The relationship between Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton relies on a lot of will power to stay strong. The relationship between Justin Timberlake (January 31, 1981) and Britney Spear (December 2, 1981) could have been placed in this category if Britney Spear was not so desirable. That relationship did not work out.
  • A relationship in which the man is more desirable, and the man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective, and
    • The woman is attracted to the man from Western horoscope perspective. For example, John Lennon (October 9, 1940) and Cynthia Lennon (September 10, 1939), Jackie Chan (April 7, 1954) and Lin Feng-Jiao (June 30, 1953).
  • A relationship in which the woman is more desirable, and
    • The couple are compatible from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. For example, Kevin Federline (March 21, 1978) and Britney Spears (December 2, 1981).
    • The woman is attracted to the man from Western horoscope perspective, and the man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, Gabriel Aubry (January 4, 1976) and Halle Berry (August 14, 1966), Oprah Winfrey (January 29, 1954) and Stedman Graham (March 6, 1951), Jesse James (April 19, 1969) and Sandra Bullock (July 26, 1964).
    • The woman is attracted to the man from Chinese horoscope perspective, and the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Marc Anthony (September 16, 1968) and Jennifer Lopez (July 24, 1969).
    • The man is attracted to the woman from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. For example, Daniel Moder (January 31, 1969) and Julia Roberts (October 28, 1967).
  • A relationship in which the man and the woman are equally desirable, and
    • The couple are compatible from Chinese horoscope perspective, and the woman is attracted to the man from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger (July 30, 1947) and Maria Shriver (November 6, 1955), Jake Gyllenhaal (December 19, 1980) and Reese Witherspoon (March 22, 1976), Chris Martin (March 2, 1977) and Gwyneth Paltrow (September 27, 1972).
    • The couple are compatible from Western horoscope perspective, and the man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, Tom Brady (August 3, 1977) and Gisele Bündchen (July 20, 1980). The relationship between Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen will work out well if Tom Brady becomes more desirable later on.
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Western horoscope perspective, and the woman is attracted to the man from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958) and Lisa Marie Presley (February 1, 1968), Kenny Chesney (March 26, 1968) and Renée Zellweger (April 25, 1969).
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective, but the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Brad Pitt (December 18, 1963) and Angelina Jolie (June 4, 1975). The relationship between Vince Vaughn (March 28, 1970) and Jennifer Aniston (February 11, 1969) could have worked to some degree if Vince Vaughn had not become more desirable.

The following relationships are not likely to work. After the couple split, they don’t come back together again.

  • A relationship in which the man is more desirable, and
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective, but the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Vince Vaughn (March 28, 1970) and Jennifer Aniston (February 11, 1969).
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Western horoscope perspective, but the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, John McCain (August 29, 1936) and Cindy McCain (May 20, 1954). I think their big age difference explains why they have never split.
  • A relationship in which the woman is more desirable, and
    • The couple are compatible from Chinese horoscope perspective, but are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Benjamin Bratt (December 16, 1963) and Julia Roberts (October 28, 1967).
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective, and the couple are compatible from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Nick Lachey (November 9, 1973) and Jessica Simpson (July 10, 1980), Bruce Willis (March 19, 1955) and Demi Moore (November 11, 1962).
    • The man is attracted to the woman from Chinese horoscope perspective, but the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Chad Lowe (January 15 1968) and Hilary Swank (July 30, 1974).
  • A relationship in which the man and the woman are equally desirable, and
    • The couple are compatible from Western horoscope perspective, but are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Chinese horoscope perspective. For example, Leonardo DiCaprio (November 11, 1974) and Gisele Bündchen (July 20, 1980), Jon Gosselin (April 1, 1977) and Kate Gosselin (March 28, 1975).
    • The woman is attracted to the man from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. For example, Ben Affleck (August 15, 1972) and Jennifer Lopez (July 24, 1969), Tom Cruise (July 3, 1962) and Nicole Kidman (June 20, 1967).
    • The woman is attracted to the man from Chinese horoscope perspective, but the couple are neither compatible nor attracted to each other from Western horoscope perspective. For example, Justin Timberlake (January 31, 1981) and Britney Spear (December 2, 1981).
    • The couple are incompatible (i.e., neither compatible nor attracted to each other) from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. For example, Ryan Phillippe (September 10, 1974) and Reese Witherspoon (March 22, 1976). It is quite amazing that their union lasted for eight years given the fact that they were so incompatible in horoscope. I guess it was because they married each other when they were still very young.

The worst relationship is one in which the man is more desirable and is attracted to the woman from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. It can destroy the man. For example, Tiger Woods (December 30, 1975) and Rachel Uchitel (January 26,1975), John Edwards (June 10, 1953) and Rielle Hunter (March 20, 1964), and the worst of it all, Matthew Winkler (November 21, 1974) and Mary Winkler (December 10, 1973). By the way, John McCain (August 29, 1936) is also drawn to Sarah Palin (February 11, 1964) from both Chinese horoscope perspective and Western horoscope perspective. But I do not know if Sarah Palin was good or bad for John McCain’s presidential campaign.

Relationships that are not listed here are probably not likely to happen.
